If you're offended, by all means, explain why, however, please don't try to tell me this cartoon is racist. If you see racism in here, you need to examine your own motives.
First and foremost, I don't believe in PC terms. If you're American, then say so. If you're African, Chinese, Russian, or anything in between but you live or have transplanted here; PICK ONE OR THE OTHER. I don't see African-American, Chinese-American, or Jewish-American. It's pointless and causes a divide in places that are already tenuous.
I see Americans.
Secondly, however, don't deny your heritage, for it's the 'melting pot' that makes this country great, but accept the fact that you are in this country. Learn the language, attend the schools and better yourself like so many have. There is no reason to shout racism just because something 'bad' or negative happens to you. If you want to be respected, respect outwardly to others.
Now, that being said. It is EXTREMELY racist to immediately assume that not only does the chimp represent Barak Hussien Obama, but that it is indicative of a black man. It offends me that people instantly jump to the so called 'race-card' when they get upset about something.
1.) It not only doesn't say "Obama" HE DIDN'T EVEN WRITE THE BILL. 2.) It may as well HAVE been written by a group of chimps because this is something our grandchildren are going to be paying for. 3.) They aren't "assinating" a person, merely shooting a chimp equated to a person who had a primary hand in writing the stimulus package.
So, how is this defined as racism? Want the definition?

Also, if Barak does think that's him, and doesn't have a sense of humor about it, he's trying to rule the wrong country. "Dubbaya" was satirized SO MUCH WORSE than this cartoon supposedly commits and nobody said anything then... Why?? Because he's white and should be able to accept it?
It's bull, and anyone with the tiniest understanding should be able to see that. He accepted it because he was the president and was expected to take it in stride as humor. Guess what? So should every president in that case, regardless of religion, race, or creed. Sound familiar? It should.
So, now that I've said my peace, I'll leave it open to anyone to flame my post and call me racist. I work in an I.D. checking environment where I have to turn away anyone whose license or ID would be turned down by JSO. Which includes, but isn't limited to broken, expired, underage or any other issues. Does it make me racist that most of the people that have an issue such as these are black or mexican and I HAVE to turn them away? No! It's my job and I'm not jeporadizing it so someone can have a little fun.
So call me racist, call me a pig, call me by any slur you want. But remember... if you're calling someone racist, you may very well be yourself.
