November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month. There are between 1.5 and 2.8 Million homeless kids in the United States. 5,000 of those kids die every year. That's 13 kids dying on the streets of this country EVERY DAY!!!
In Jacksonville, there are very few resources for homeless kids. If you're a kid under the age of 18, you can't even get into a shelter or a soup kitchen!
StandUp For Kids and Virgin Mobile are teaming up to try to raise awareness for the problems that homeless kids face. Please add your voice to the call to end homelessness for kids by going to:

And please come to the Jacksonville Landing on Saturday, November 10th from 11 AM to 3 PM to support StandUp for Kids here in Jacksonville. If you have any old cell phones lying around, please bring them to help us raise money for homeless youth in Jacksonville.
